List of Levels

Vanilla Dome 2 is the 2nd level in Vanilla Dome. It is a partially underwater cave level, and it contains the secret exit leading to the Red Switch Palace. Other than this, it is relatively an uneventful level.

It is also the only level in the game that requires the player to abandon Yoshi to continue, as the only path onward requires climbing a vine.

Level Design

The level begins with Mario falling into a pool of water, getting the player used to water physics if they aren't already. It also shows the player a Flopping Fish, which they can kick over. Most of the level is spent underwater, with a low ceiling, forcing the player to get near the fish.

The player is required to get a P-Switch which, when used, opens up the path to the Key and Key Hole. At the Midway Point, Charging Chucks, which will break Turn Blocks, allowing the player to continue on with the level. The player then reaches a wall made out of Brown Blocks, where the player is required to use the P-Switch given (or the a P-Switch found before the Midway Point).
