Overview

Valley of Bowser 2 is the second level of the Valley of Bowser in Super Mario World. It can be accessed after the completion of Valley of Bowser 1. Famous for its secret exit, which leads to Valley Fortress, the level focuses on a vertically scrolling layer 2, with Koopa Troopas and Swoopers being the primary obstacles. Patience is key here; going too fast will result in being crushed to death in many parts of the level. In the second portion of the level is a hidden power-up that will provide the player with a Mushroom or a Cape, hidden above the pipe that you enter from, followed by a maze of rising and lowering dirt. In this section is also a question block containing a pair of Yoshi's Wings, which can lead to direct completion of the level if Mario is riding Yoshi.

If the player enters the maze, the objective is to get in and out of the small sections in which Mario can fit into without getting crushed. There are no enemies inside said maze. At the end of this maze, there is a green pipe that takes the player into the next portion of the level. Once again, the layer 2 dirt will rise, but will not come down again; the dirt can be retracted if the player moves forward and turns back. The player can fly before the dirt fills up and turn left to find a hidden area. If Mario makes it to this area, he will find a Key and a Keyhole laid on a pile of cement blocks. This leads to aforesaid level, Valley Fortress. On the regular path, however, the player will encounter an area where required to ride Mega Moles atop Munchers. The goal, as well as flying wings will allow the player to access the next regular level, Valley Ghost House.
