Donut Plains 2 is the second level in Donut Plains. Preceded by Donut Plains 1 and proceeded by Donut Ghost House. It is the first level in Super Mario World to feature an underground setting as well as enemies like Swoopers and Buzzy Beetles.

Overview

Donut Plains 2 features a slow scrolling environment with yellow moving layer 2. The Giant Gate leads to Donut Ghost House, and there are two paths in the level that lead to it. The first way is to simply enter the final green pipe at the end of the cave. The second way it to enter the second green pipe on the ceiling. In this room, enter the pipe at the far end to reach the normal exit. The secret exit is also in this room. Either toss the blue shell in this room up at the highest Turn Block to activate the vine, and then jump up the Turn Blocks and climb to the Key and Keyhole. The other way is to fly up using the cape or use Yoshi to eat the blue shell. The secret exit leads to the Green Switch Palace.
